I didnt expect to break into the 13's...the only shitty part about the night for me was that i was cuttin 3 tenths off each run, my 4th run i got caught sleepin at the tree and then paniced and missed 2nd so i didnt get to try to get to mid 13's....but if i go friday im guttin my car, puttin race gas in, turn up the boost and hopefully find out why it wasnt boosting right then im shootin for low 13's

btw, this is the first time ive ever been to a 1/4 mile track with any car ive owned, and my first night slippin the clutch on the launch instead of just dumping it like i did with the Evo

What mods does your car have? Do you have a stock clutch? If you can get a real 60' time, then you'll be in the low 13s. The MPH kind of sucks though. Something isn't right.

yes its a stock clutch, it was replaced before i got the car and when i got it it prolly had around 10k miles on it, now theres about 15k on it
and yeah i thought the mph was a lil low....i mean josh ran a 13.5 at 105 i think in his 7 so almost a 10 mph difference for 3 tenths isnt right
and there is something not right about it right now, i wasnt hittin boost til about 4k rpm which isnt normal...i just noticed it yesterday driving home from work...i ran a boost leak test today and found 1 leak but its been there since my rebuild so i dont think thats it....

yeah you should have stopped by, i felt lonely bein the only one racing even though josh and jared went with me but josh broke something and jareds car is f'ed up.....i saw that honda sittin there, i heard his tranny had only been rebuilt for a week, kind of a silly thing to do to a newly rebuilt tranny

How much boost are you trying to run?
The MPH sucks because your car is probably running rich as hell. You need to buy an AFC next to lean out the top end and you'll see the MPH pick up. You should also consider getting a 1g BOV. If you decide to run race gas and higher boost, the POS 2g BOV isn't going to hold it anyway.

he has enough of mph for 13.3-13.0 in a awd, i ran 13.4's all day at 95-96 mph with 1.7 sixty foots..

So. Just because your car was tuned to holy hell doesn't mean his has to be. Go on DSMtimes and look at what most of the car's running low to mid 13s are trapping.

He asked for comments/help. I don't care if some super driver went 13.0 at 88MPH. His car should trap a little higher.

lol Mike C you must not have dled the video...i have the HKS SSQ BOV and am runnin 20 psi.....but i am gauging interest in the geddy type s, i love the sound it makes when it recircs! i took my buddies off his evo and put it on my car and thought about not giving it back!!
but i did just aquire a nice chunk of change today so this weekend or early next week i plan on getting an fmic, injectors and an afc
one question though, if i get 550's and hook the afc up can i just set it to a certain setting for it run right or will i HAVE to go get it tuned? a friend has a wide band so maybe i could use his to tune it?
i know a kid who put 660's in and he said he could barely keep his car at idle without a tune, so i just dont want to be in the same boat as him

550s are more than enough for that turbo.
SAFC should be your next purchase, you should have had one already. That pump is too big for your setup. Even with the SAFC you are going to be rich.
With the Big 16, 550s (a 190lph pump), an SAFC, and a supra sidemount I went 12.01 at 110ish, your setup being similar you should shoot for that.

Remember the post above when I asked you to list your mods? Did you list a BOV?:rolleyes:
If you buy all of the rest of that crap yet are too lazy to figure out how to make it work, then you're just lumping yourself in with most other DSM dummies. Tuning an AFC isn't exactly rocket science.
