Made a few passes today. 11.8@134mph. The car was so rich it was breaking up after 6k, but without a wideban or my logger, I was not going to f- with it. On the way home with the boost down, I took out 8% fuel up top and it cleaned up to the point were it would not break up. Now THATS running rich. Needless to say the car has more left in it. We'll see if I drag it to the track later in the year.

So what did you change on your setup that is getting you 5-6mph more than you have got on any other passes this year?
Congrats on the new times:beer

Congrats on the new times:beer
In terms of shootout vs Now, nothing. The fuel is still WAY to think, but My boost controler issue with the 2 stage settup is what was messing me up at the shootout. thats why I ran liek shit all day, coupled with the bad miss form the old crusty plugs. It still sputters at the top of the gear, but I will take the fuel out on the dyno to be safe.
Vs. Last year's car- The intake Manni I built-Comp 101200 cams-Wiesco 8.3t o 1. Thats it. I have not gotten the boost back up to the 27-28 I ran 129mph at last year yet.

96-97. Still working on getting out of the whole correctly. Its the whole fraking run. Trying to leave with boost, and not spin, and be high enough in gear to hit boost in 2nd is a task.
Scarry part is I did 99 and 100 in the 1/8 at the shootout, but of course, the back half was fucked becuase of the lack of tuning. I want to have it running top befor I go to the track again.

Did you ever end up weighing your car? Picking up 38MPH on the back half with a 60-1 is nuts!

It sounds retarded. Nothing but tire spin until the top of 3rd. Do another burnout like I made you do, but a little longer, at Norwalk and the bitch will go.

He put it on a scale a few months back. It weighed 2020lbs with nobody in the car.

Ron- Yeah, your the water man. At least 3 times durring the night I would fell the car start to hop and just got out of it because of that little twerp. He is the direct reason I have not been to 42 in years.
2020 with both seats. Thats sans cage, so figure molly cage -1 seat would be 2100lbs or so.

What were the outside temps like this night?

It was a high of 92 deg that day, felt like 82-84 during race time. Maybe more, what do the others that were there think? Relative humidity was rediculous 80%. Everyone was running slow. Felt liek you could cut the air with a knife.

Congrats JP.... but you should REALLY, REALLY get some safety equipment for your car, it's overdue and been put off for far too long.
Be safe.
