On the highway downshifted to fourth to make the Sawmill exit and hit fuel cut again, not sure if this has
anyting to do with. Driving back home all was well. Got to a stop light and downshifted to first to make
the turn, slowing to a stop. I turn and hit the gas. Hmm. Spools to 20 but it feels like I am running on
3 cyls. Slow. And I hear sort of a rattle or a whoosh when I get to high RPMs. I pulled the plugs. Here
are pictures of the plugs. I think I am going to take the front bumber off and see if I have leaks in the
I/C piping. Only other thing I can think of, well John thought of it.

<<Took pictures out. Problem solved.>>

plugs look fine but your figernails look a mess.

You probably just blew an IC connection. The pop you heard is the usual indication.

Cronic nail bitter.

I think I found the problem. Looks like I parked too close to a parking block and pushed the I/C without knowing it. Don't know how though, anyways. Pinched the hose that connects the I/C to the turbo pipe. That's it. Huge cut in it.

The busted one is the one I got from Buschur with the FMIC. Cheapy thing and short too.

All done. Going out for a test run.

(test run completed)
Took it out on 70 and opened her up. But I could tell as soon as I pulled out of the condo complex that all was well.

Low and behold I get on 70 and here comes a Mustang 5.0 runnin up my ass. He gets over and he goes for it. I drop
to 4th and pull so hard on this guy he didn't know what the hell happened. Gave me a thumbs up. Good sport.

I think the cut on the cuppler must have be a gradual leaking, started off as a small slit and got bigger. Evo feels like
it pulls much harder. Wonder how long it was like that before it got weak enough to bust?

I've decided for this spring - cams, injectors, Buschur turbo kit and possibly 18" Volks. Gonna be a fun summer.

I think I'm the only guy that works on his own Evo that's not even a certified mechanic. hahahaha
