Anyone ever use E-Loan? Their rates seem to be extremely competative to banks here, so I'm thinking of going through them for my next car purchase. Just wondering if anyone has used them for any type of loan.

If that is some website...

Just make sure you setup a temp yahoo email account for use with that service...otherwise the fucking spam never ends from "partner" companies for YEARS after you stop using them.

Just make sure you get the complete information on how it works before committing and truely understand it.
We were going over something similar to this in Law class tuesday...but it pertained to home loans etc...they were saying how most of these "online banks" or place's you get mail from offering to finance things don't play by the same rules...like within your state. For example: You get something in the mail offering to refinance your home at a lower rate and sounds like a good deal. You go for it only to find out later that their laws are different in their state and they now own your house as a co-owner/joint instead of holding the note. Not like a regular mortgage because that's the law in "their" state. Not that it's quite the same...just giving an example.

That's the kinda thing I'm looking for. Thanks.

I used Lending Tree for the short-term loan on my Saab. Everything went absolutely flawlessly. It was actually pretty nice because I got several initial offers and used those to negotiate even better ones between two banks.

My mother used E-Loan for her house (purchased in 2002) and got a great rate and has zero complaints.

As you should with anything, read the fine print and read ALL OF IT, but my family has had nothing but good experiences.
