I considered making a "snow drifting video" with my camry and my eclipse but figured it wouldn't be worth the work.... If anyone remembers the snow storm that happened last year a couple days before christmas I drove from columbus to cleveland in the talon in that. I didn't see one bit of bare road the entire way, and I was on bald 225 series potenza pole positions.... that was a crazy drive. After that most everything else is cake.

Yeah, it's tough out here. High of only 53 down in sunny San Diego. Have fun kids!!! But then again, in about a month I get to go play in the sand box.

I hate snow!!! Some of the roads here are decent, the main roads at least, mine is a solid piece of ice basically. Some lady this morning when I was leaving for work thought she could stop her Jeep at the stop sign, well she slid right through and was about 2inches away from hitting another truck.

What are you talking about?????
I thought those cars came with an Quaife LSD. Put some snow tires on it. It'll move. Does it have traction control? If so, then you should be set.
The tires are the biggest factor. It could make a night/day difference in how you can drive the car in the snow. High Performance dry road tires suck in the snow. You might consider getting 2 more rims so you can just swap out the front 2 wheels for snow tires when you need it.
In a FWD car the ideal conditions for a car are: good snow tires, low HP, and a very light weight car. My 87 Jetta was the best. Curb weight was 2,400 lbs. HP was around 80. and add in the fact the car was worth about $500 it would have been no loss if I crashed it.

I never go your way. I run down to Oklahoma city and pick up 40 and run to Barstow, then down into the LA basin. I haven't been your way since 1999. While in Barstow I have to do the In-n-out burger stopoff.

We had a house in Tampa back in the 60's ,but sold it. I don't plan on living forever. When I got out of the Marines I came back here because of my parents and family. If it wasn't for that, I would be living in Socal now.

I know, but I got called and said get here ASAP due to work up issues with new equipment and new gear. I wish I could have stopped by, but I will be here through the holiday times. At least the weather out here is nice and I don't have to worry about shoveling!
