Car going to Buschur

Taking my car up this weekend to Buschur to have my clutch and cams installed. Also going to pick up stage 2 and maybe injectors.

Dropped off the car today and talked with Ted for about and hour and half. He just got done putting their "big" turbo in their Evo. That thing is going to be a beast with the head work also done on it now. It looked really good.

They also have a silver Evo that is completely stripped and they are building a motor for it. I think that car is out of NC and the guy melted a piston in the original motor.

Tym Switzer just bought an Evo and already has the motor pulled. Sounded like he is looking to build a 700 + WHP street Evo without NOS.

They were not suppose to be open on Sat and I know Ted had things to do, but he took the time to talk and show some of the things they have done. That was great! :thumb

They have more people working for them than I knew. The person going to do my installations is Dan.

Ted is Tym's right hand man. He does all of the head porting for them now and basically does a little bit of everything.

Ted said Tym had the motor pulled with less than 50 miles on the car :D

I think Ted has been with them for years. I don't think he usually deals with customers much. He works allot on their drag cars. Was there today putting on the bigger turbo on their Evo.

He's been there a long time. He travels with Dave and is effectively his "crew chief" when Dave does out of town events. Tym doesn't usually travel with Dave. Ted's a good guy.

Just talked with Dan, car is done and ready to go. have the clutch, cams, stage 2, and kevlar timing belt installed.

Have to install my fuel pump when I get it back.

Fuel pump is a quick install but a pain in the ass to get out and put back in. One of these days I can check out your car and other Evos on here. I need to get out of the house damnit ! ! :p

Got my car back yesterday. All I can say is get a new clutch :thumb . I can't believe how bad the stock one was. The Exedy twin disc so far is great. The car shifts 10X better, more accurate, and you can actually feel what the clutch is doing. Only minor issue is noise. When pressed you can hear it. Not loud, but noticeable. I had heard they did that though so no big deal.

Also the pedal is no different than stock.
