So are you saying you have "it" for sure? It's already been checked?

Not ALLL 2G owners dread this :D
Are you ready to spend about $1,500 for the swap heh.
If you have "it", heres the best idea for you.
But a COMPELTE 1G car. This way you can remove ALL the parts you need from it and NOT have to worry about those little misc. pieces holding you back. Afterwards you can part that 1G car and make some money back at least.
Did you have "it" checked yet though?

Mike has never checked my car....Team RamRod did it during the clutch swap.....
I would like to have mine checked again as well....sometimes it seems like I have problems getting it into 1st...not sure if it's just me not pushing the clutch all the way in or what....and with the braided clutch line on, if I ever do walk again...and it acts like it did before, I'll never be able to tell.

Kim why dont you....
Take that car you just got.. rip the 6 bolt out...
Part that car
Part your 7 bolt motor..
And call it a day :) You wont have to worry again.. PLUS you STILLLL would have MADE money cause you got that car for nothin practically.

John...because...
My car is still under warranty...the block is still under warranty for another 11 months...so why waste a warranty
The new car is Kendras...which she will be driving in 7 months...
Not to mention...I really like this car a lot...it's very nice, inside and out and runs good, already has a few mods and it will be just fine for her...why waste a good 1g thats perfectly fine for another 2g thats perfectly fine for now?

I have never personally checked for crankwalk on my 2G while the engine was installed. However, I now own the proper equipment to easily measure it now - didn't really purchase this until I was done with my car. I used it on my Jetta a week or so ago - it's got crankwalk.
I am getting ready to measure crankwalk on the Eclipse here ay day now.
My plan is to take the driver side wheel off, the inner plastic engine/fender well cover and attach the magnetic base thingy to the oil pan and poke the measuring device thingy onto the main pulley. Then I am gonna push and pull on the main pulley to measure it.
0.010 in. is the maximum allowed according to Mitsubishi. I know I can let it go to 0.020 in. without any problems from past experiences. John Lippians motor was at 0.042 in.
What was Kim's? Was it even measured?

dsmarc: Tell us your work schedule and if you are free on the weekends and what part of town do you live on. Then maybe someone close by or with the same time off can meet you at your house or their house and you can get it measured.
