if you are gonna buy a new one then at least buy the EVO Big16G turbo. It's the new hotness. The blades are lightened up and it spools at a much lower rpm. I think it is also about the same price as the normal Big16G.

oooorrrr you could go with mike c's really crazy good idea and get a pte 50 trim hybrid too...just a thought :D

precision makes some really nice turbos especially with their 360 race bearing which limits shaftplay.

But..if someone already has a 16G that is going bad and is not destroyed yet then it can be rebuilt. I think rebuild kits for the center section are like $150???? I think one or 2 local people have done the rebuild.

marc you can buy mine in the middle of the summer as soon as i go to the fp green modle.... :beer i will cut you a deal it still has the warranty
