Well, I've been having overheating problems the fmic got put on. I've upgraded my radiator and the overheating persists. Then yesterday, I noticed there was some oil under the timing belt area. Today, I jacked up the car and noticed there's a pretty good amount of oil on the alternator, on top of the oil filter, and under the valve cover (camshaft sprockets area.) I also saw an accumulation of oil at the exhaust side camshaft seal, and it seemed to have gotten on the exh. cam sprockets a little--probably through the timing belt cover.
I don't know what to make of this. What do you guys think could be the cause? I wonder if this also ties into my overheating problem. This year has been one problem after another for me. I hope this one isn't major.

yep, seems like a blown head gasket to me too, everything I've read points to that.......

i'd say its probably the headgasket....i told you to check that before you dropped 500 on that new radiator and fan setup but at least yoiu have a phat cooling system now...anywho i have new cam shaft seals if you want them...sounds like they may be leaking from them too...notice any oil in your coolant reseviour?

I'm also thinking it might be the headgasket. The oil is leaking (a good amount) from that exhaust camshaft seal. That is the only location that I see oil from the block. I previously did a compression test and it's 180 in all four cylinders. There's no oil in the coolant reservoir, nor is there any coolant evident in the engine oil.
Hopefully, it's nothing else, but it's a bitch to remove those cam gears and stuff on the 420A--there's no room! Anyways, Chad, I'll take those cam seals off your hands. I'm also looking to replace the headgasket. Anyone have an extra set laying around? Funds are tight now, so I'll probably begin the repair process once I have all the parts in the next month or so :(
