Another "slow" customers 03 Cobra with a 150-shot vs the IPS EVO. Second run there was a bit of miscommunication so he got the go and Mike just rolled into it to catch up :)

so is the evo making like 800hp or what. because the cobra should atleast be making 700. or is it stock with a 150shot.

I hope Anthony gets off his ass and gets his front diff done for this weekend. It made 575 last year and with the recent changes it should be well into the 630 realm. It'll be fun to drag this EVO around C-Bus once or twice. :P

Compared to other Cobra VS DSM/EVO videos I've seen, this EVO has to making close to 700 to pull the Cobra like that.

Or the Cobra has much less power than is being stated.

The cobra dynoed the night before the race. I can get Brian to email me over the copy of the graph if that is in dispute at all.

As far as how much power the EVO is making right now, who knows. We arent really claiming or tossing out #s until it acutally makes something. Obviously its not slow, but your guess is as good as mine. Mine, however, wouldnt start with a 7 or a 8

LOL -- what is your deal? Mikes EVO and phils "DSM" arent even in the same ballpark. One is a full blown race car and one is a 100% street car. Mike has no interest in making more power with a GT42 only to have a car that sucks to drive around due to the tiny powerband off spray. ITS NOT A DRAG CAR :rolleyes: He drives it to work and back nearly every day and races it on the street. Thats it.

Oh, and Phil and I have known each other for like 7-8 years now so you dont need to try tell me anything about him or his car. Half his parts were from my shop so need to play the "Well so and so's car would...."

i wouldn't say never. all it would take is a turbo similar to yours. i just want to maintain the "fun" factor i get out of the car now.

i'll tell you what i'll give you your run at the track but it will be double or nothing on the freeway. i guess towing the car along would still count :P

I never did, he doesn't usually state any dyno numbers.

He made about 600whp on Buschur's Mustang dyno a few months back. As mentioned, he's not much about dyno numbers and crap, only track results.

I know Curt did it and he deserves all the credit for it. But realistically a 35r does not have the capability to support the power levels to push a 2700lb car to 150mph traps on it's own. :eek
