Well I dont know what car you have but I think the 2g's have a manual lever for theirs. Maybe check the owners manual to see for sure. Until then put a trash bag over it to keep the snow out. :thumb

Sounds like one of the tracks may be bent.

I guess one of you "sunroof" people has finally learned your lesson now. You people think you are all cool becuase you have that extra window on top. "Looky how I can open and close and open and close with the push of this button."
Right now I am thinking of all those hot summer days without A/C that I had to suffer through and didn't have a nice little sunroof to drain the heat out.
Payback time!
Mwahahaha! :booty

Yeah, what dsmarc said. If you look really closely in the tracks, there's a tab that it's hitting. On my gf's I just broke it out. Worked fine. Now the dang thing won't open.

The one on my 95 acted up and wouldn't close all the way. I took it apart once and noticed some of the pieces were made of plastic. I found a couple of them to be broken in certain areas. It wasn't a huge concern and never fixed it as it was only the last 1/2" or so that would bind up and not close.

yeah sunroofs are a major pain in the a==. My frinds 95 AWD TSi's sunroof leaks a tad bit everytime he takes it to the car wash and it like pops up a bit real quick when he shuts his door. my Eclipse's sunroof arms broke a couple months after I had the car so I decided to seal it shut. lol needless to say it never gets stuck open! and having a windsheild on top of the car isnt soo bad. :Woohoo Personally I like it better sealed shut because I know it'll never give me problems and I never really used it anyway. Well good luck with fixing it.

I thought it might be common for it to pop up, even though I never noticed it on mine. But as far as his leaking its only when he uses the power washer at the car wash, must be a little chunk of seal missing or something. but as far as the not closing thing, a little piece of plastic broke off on mine and for a couple weeks it didnt want to close, but it always did, then one day the arm broke after it shut all the way...so I took it down the street to my friends dad who has his own body shop and we sealed 'er closed :) I still have the one good arm as well as the broken one if yu could put either to use for a few bucks REDSM157.
