ok well i started to rip apart my car tonight. and i get the passenger side shock and srut out.. so i decompress the srping and go to take the strut out of the spring and it wont come out? so im like wut the hell..i take a closer look at it theres some like bell shaped housing on it or something..how do i go about removing this or wut do i do..to me it looks like my whole suspension has this bell housing thing..
so how do i take this off?..i wanna lower my car badly :beer :cuss

and i need my car today ( saturday) so i need to get it done..is there any special tool i may need?

i think your having problems w/ your dust shield. take a long screw driver and a hammer and hit it in the center from underneath, it should come loose. mine gave me a little trouble but did eventually come off

Yup, I had the same problem with mine. It took a lot off hammering, but I hit it from underneath, so it could just pop off, seemed to do the trick.

Josh... you might have to use some muscle :thumb

Is he talking about the dust cover with the integrated bump stop in it?

Same problem here too... I said screw it and bought new shocks and struts. :D then the engine blew, so they are just sitting in the house waiting to go on.

Rust pwnz joo. That shit isn't coming off in one piece. Time to go shopping for some new shocks and some OEM parts.
