Roof Scoop

I want a roof scoop like the ones on WRX. But I have a sun roof what am i to do?

liek the rally car ones? i dunno man you need that much air goin into your cabin? if you really wanted to do it you could take some metal and weld it up there repaint that shiz and go from there

Oh no I dont want it going into the cabin. Is there a way to remove the sunroof and replace the roof easily or should i just cover it up and cover up the hole of the sunroof. I just love the way those scoops look.

First off it isnt becasue of the fast and furious i didnt even know my car was in that. Second im not ashamed to say im a ricer if that just means i like import cars. I have taken it down that i shouldnt get one and I wont know thanks for the advice. Oh and by the way honda civics suck.

That has absolutely nothing to do with being a ricer...you'll learn real quick around here that almost everyone would rather spend money on making their car "go" faster than "look" faster...it's all about the mods. But to each his/her own...it's your car, you do what you'd like. Everyone has different taste. I use to have a little bit of "rice" with the altezza's, indiglo gauges and purple snake eyes...after being in the club for awhile and seeing the beauty of a stock looking DSM, I removed everything and love my car even more than I did before. :D Oh, and btw...welcome :thumb

I think your ride should look nice and drive nice. It shouldnt just look fast and then not be fast thats like the old saying. " you can talk the talk but can you walk the walk." Well if you cant then its pointless or atleast to me it is. So i wouldnt make my car look fast without it being fast and trust me gsx's are faster stock than supped up honda civis or mostly anything else on the road.

Honestly man, if you just want a show car, then by all means go for it. Like people above this post said, it is your car. The Majority of the people on this board enjoy speed, and making their cars go faster. Others, on the other hand, simply enjoy looks. Seeing as you are one of those people who enjoy the looks, the Eclipse was a great choice because of all the aftermarket attention it has received.

You asked for advice about the roof scoop and it was given. Yes, it will be very difficult and expensive for such a small mod but you have to the be one who decides if, in the end, the mod was worth the price you paid.

Honestly, i am mostly ricer at this point myself. I spent a lot of money on lowering my car (partly performance, yes, but can be noted as rice) 17 inch rims (though lighter than stock, it was still over 200 per rim) and over 1000 dollars in a paint job...all that money could have gone into making my Gst one of those cars that hits a ditch or curb everytime i romp the gas.

This is what will happen to you in the future:
1) you will make your car one pimpin showcar and love the looks and live happily ever after

OR

2) You will make your car into a peice of art that everyone stops simply to look at...and then oneday you get sick of Ford Escorts with only an intake beating you.

Even if you have a pretty car, losing a car that has no right to even line up beside you will always make your car look bad.
