I'm need new brakes for the 1g, I've been told you can put the 2g front brakes on the 1g which are a 2 piston. Is this true and what do you guys think worth the money or just by the brembo rotors and better pads for the stock brakes? Slotted or crossdrilled or both; I've seen something with a dimple in it I think??? Maybe it was slotted crossdrilled and dimpled????

Yep, 92.5+ AWD dual-piston calipers, brackets, dust shields, pads and rotors. I'd just get some Brembo blank rotors and a good pad (Hawk, Porterfield or the like). Mike Black did this not too long ago and can list anything else you may need :thumb

Shummy and I both had the Baer track kit on 2g's and I personally loved them. I will put them on my 1g if I ever get it. I think Jeff is impressed with them too. For $700 for the complete kit, you can't beat the bang for the buck imo. Check out MachV for good pricing on the kits. They make rear matching rotors for the bling factor too.

Maybe you can find them cheaper? If so let me know...

I bought mine from i-m-racing.com, but the service sucked and they took forever. Part of it is that Baer builds to order, but part of it was that Intense just sucked...

I will never do business with them. Yes, I love the brakes. I can lay into the brakes as hard as I want, in the rain, and they have never locked up. However, here's a quote from our Good Guy/Bad Guy Forum (available to paid members) that I posted regarding my dealings with them.

Long story short on my brakes, it took 6 months to get them. When I would call, they would hang up on me, or not answer. Half the time their voicemail would be full and wouldn't take a message. One time I talked to a guy for an hour, thought I had everything figured out, and I would have them within a week. Nope. Called back, got the runaround, ended up getting in-house credit of about $300.

We all know the saga on my brakes, told 4 weeks, took 6 months. Well, because I had the in-house credit, I decided I would make one more purchase from them, save myself some cash. Well, that was 3 weeks ago. I was told then I would have my stuff the middle of "next week." Well, that was last week. I waited, and I just called today. "Yeah, I just shipped that out last night. A GReddy Type S and the HKS SSQ recirculation kit, right?" Um, no. The HKS SSQ and the recirculation kit. So now, I have to wait until Monday to receive my package so that I can deny the delivery, and wait for the correct package to come straight from HKS. I wish they would have just sent it straight from HKS in the beginning. I honestly thought that they would try and go out of their way to right a wrong they did to me previously, but I guess I was wrong.

So I repeat...
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Never buy anything from them, ever, no matter what. Ever!

Sad thing is, even after this, I still didn't get my BOV for another 2 weeks. It wasn't sent straight from HKS, they shipped me one from their shop after I called back and complained, again.
