thoughts?
ive heard many opinions on the different kinds...I jumped on this auction because the price was right and I don't mind experimenting for only $20
any thoughts or experience with similar products? my shifter should be golden now...b&m, symbroski shifter bushings and now these

hmm.. let us know how it works because taking a closer look at those bearings, they say MINDGAME
being a drop out cool blader for a summer these are titanium bearings made for aggressive skates. An 8 pack is $16.00

yea...I alread bought them and ive heard of people using rollerblade bearings before....I guess I figured since these were guaranteed to fit...it was worth paying for the R&D behind them. once I get them, I'll have to have someone compare them to some rollerblade bearings and everyone can do the same...I imagine they could remove at least a little bit of mushyness in the shifter

that's the new thing, rollerblade bearings. :) I want to try and put some in mine, too.

ive thought about getting my dad to make a bunch of those...he could spin out a bunch of those in no time...hell, he made a bunch of those 1g to hks ssq adaptors with very little time invested. these and possibly symbroski type bushings would be cake

wasn't sure...ive heard some people say that the rollerskate bushings can be a pain as they are a tad larger than the eye of the cable. *shrug*

anyone have a few bearings they're willing to part with? :) I can add that to my laundry list of things to do while the car is down.

I would like to know if they feel any different... because I bought Justin's off of him when he was parting the Spyder out... and well.... I feel no difference at all. Kind of dissappointed.

1) your car is newer than 85% of the dsm's
2) stock bushings are like 85%% metal and 15% rubber
http://www.speed-source.net/images/misc/shifter2.jpg
Shifter base bushings will give you a more dramatic change in feel, since they are composed more of rubber. It is suppose to give the shifter a more gated feel.

Um ye, mine are all rubber except for the metal sleeve through the center of the rubber, and I wouldnt consider that 15%

true its more like 95% rubber 5% metal or something like that

and there is two slits or holes on each side of the sleeve cut out that make it even softer

yup i had that on one of the bushings the other was completely rubber w/ the metal sleeve

i concede... yet maybe 1g and 2g's are different.
I've read that Buschur used to recommend just flipping shifter bushings around. I guess this would indicate that on the 1g there is a more solid metal backing to one side kind of depicted on in the picture i posted.
am i digging a deeper hole for myself? i'll pop my hood open tomorrow to investigate
