"double clutching"

After watching an old movie called "Fast And The Furious", maybe some of you have seen this, I was always wondering what the heck "double clutching" was? Or is that just something that sounds like a race term that they used for a movie? I have asked a few people and no one else seems to know. Maybe I'm just not up to par on the terms.:idunno
