I wonder if David would ever consider putting one of John's dogboxes in the car. With the power they're making, they would likely obliterate the ET record.

Taken from EVOm:

I've actually run 7's with less mph than we have right now with the EVO, so our MPH is great, our ET's suck. This is the case about 98% of the time with a manual transmission and an AWD car though.

Reading between the lines, I'm interpreting this as him saying that they're hitting the limits of the AWD drivetrain.

AMS' shop car runs a dogbox right? .5 seconds of ET is a lot to make up (especially at that level). I'd like to see them do it but the synchro'd box will probably hold them back.

How can you say they are hitting the limits of AWD, John still has it, so does AMS, and many others.

VWJeff,

I seriously hope your comment about Shep's dogbox was just to stir shit up...

I get seriously annoyed with you discounting everything by anyone else. Grow up, and acknowledge that other people (than Buschur) do great work.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we're all tired of you being Buschurs number 1 nutswinger. We get it, that's all you talk about is how close you are etc., etc., etc., They are a great shop and we don't need you to try to show us that.

And also, on a serious note, they've got a long time left before they're at the end of gear if they swap to a dogbox. They can change the gearing etc., to get where they want to be. Look at Shep, in the dogbox he's trapping 191-195s and Buschurs at 167-70....They've got room. The car's impressive.

Your friend,
Brandon

I meant that I think they're hitting the limits of the syncro'd tranny and need a dogbox to get the car to ET the way AMS is. We'll see. Maybe I'm wrong but we also have a few DSMs now that were hovering around the 9.0 mark and are now deeper into the 8s after getting a dogbox in there.

So does the BR EVO have a dogbox in there or is it a syncro'd box? If Dan really is working on putting together a dog set then they will get the record easily.

VWjeff: I WANT BUSCHUR TO GET THE RECORD. It wasn't meant to be hateful. Only to spark conversation.

To the best of my knowledge, AMS is still using a factory gearset.
