Is there any way to pull a pre-amp source from the Infinity system? I'm looking at a small addition to my stereo, and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest, easiest way to do it. just looking at putting in 1 12"Kenwood KFC-W3005 with a Blaupunkt PA2100 amplifier. Something small to take the bass work away from the rest of my speakers, but be easy to remove when I head to the track.

if i read any of that right, you could run everything through a crossover. run the lows to the bass and the highs to the speakers. and when you get to the track, its just a matter of unhooking wires.

You could get a high-level to RCA adapter or get an Amp that supports high-level input as well. I am not sure about a pre-ran remote wire though.

That's what I was thinking. I've used one before, it's still upstairs. :) I just remember it having a little more interference than a pre-amp input. Not enough to bother me.

The high level to RCA converter is a good Idea. just run it off of the amp under the seat and run the RCAs to the back as usual. Do the same with the power wires and just keep a cheap screwdriver with you and unhook. Just mount the amp to the box and your done. It is one small package. Did it like that once. Easy to steal though.

If R/F noise gets to be a problem (I doubt it being subs and all) you could get a ground loop isolator (Columbus Car Audio has them fo $14). I run one on my Hyundai (which has horrible electrical) and it cleared it up 99%, just be sure to get one with a ground wire.

Uh, Jeff...The plug on the back of the stereo that goes to the stock underseat amp is most likely a pre-amp signal.

it's a pre-amp signal, but there are no RCA outputs. I've got a guy making me a box that plugs in between the receiver and stock amp that will give me 4 RCA outputs. :)
