ok well i got my car running took it out and its like ok untill i hit about 3500 rpm and then it falls on its face the boost reads 14 on the stock cluster but on my gauge it reads 5 which i have my boost controller all the way down. i upgraded fuel pump 255 and did 2g mass setup would this cause it to run like poop.... i dont know what it is, and to make things worse i shut the car off and these wires behind my driverside seat on the wall caught on fire the wires go into a 6 wire plug anybody know what that is.

Are you still trying to run the 2G MAS w/ 450's and no fuel control?

OK, you can't :bash
The 2G MAS tells your ECU that there's less air coming in than there actually is. Therefore, it dumps less fuel. Therefore, you are running stupid lean--especially under boost (aka 3500+ RPMs). Therefore, don't drive your car until your homework is complete.
The wires probably caught fire because your EGTs were so high (not really but is sounds good to drive this point home).

i know my response in parts trader wasn't within the "rules" but it would have helped this guy out yesterday night.. and could have prevented any further damage..
oh well rules are rules, right?

Actually, I sent him a PM regarding this whole situation before you even posted, yet he continued...

maybe he needs to be told a couple times before it sinks in? you can't trust everyone on the internet. at some point in time he was fed some grossly incorrect information, and went with it
i hate it when we fight jamie

Maybe you should have sent him a PM then (right after you were done with your homework).

Sometimes I think we should just leave people alone and let them go ahead and screw up their cars. Sometimes, learning the hard way is the only way people can learn something.

Subject: your fuel
What size injectors are you running? A 2G MAS w/ 550's will equalize each other in the eyes of the ECU, otherwise, you're running lean as poop with the stock 450's. Just an alternative to an AFC.
Maybe I should have added the emphasis in the PM as well :idunno

ok so 550s and a afc or just 550s will match them up

Just 550 injectors should work. An AFC w/ or w/o injectors will work provided you have the tools and ability to properly tune them.
