How will those hold up to street use and how long will they last compaired to steel rotors? If you hit a hard bump will they crack and break off? What about the chemicals they put on the roads for the ice? Will it damage them?

you could not hurt these, they can be ran till "white"hot that is past red
and still be true. no wear and you can't warp these....

but they are also about 3200.$ how many do you want:D
and the hotter they get the more agressive they become:beer
you will STOP with these

run them in water if you want....i would not recommend grease.

Is that price for just one wheel, a set of 2, or a set of 4?

host them on your website and use the [img] tag. Otherwise you can only attach 1 per post.

Actually, they'd call it, "maschine" or "motor" depending on the German. (The one I work with prefers motor.)

How do they work cold? and/or How long does it take to get up to an effective operating temp?

It is "Motor" in german! No one there calls it a maschine. Maschine is just as it sounds a machine! We use it the same way over there.

I need at least a 6-pot caliper up front that can be stuffed inside a 17" wheel. A 4 would be OK... for the rear ;)

Is it really to the point we are spending $3200 on two rotors?

I could get another whole car for that WITH good brakes...

Dictionary definitions are based on usage of words, not their actual connotation? The words motor and engine can be used interchangeably but it depends on dialect and who you are talking to. (electrical engineer vs mechanical is a good example) I am sure we could all agree that it?s a little bit easier to call the thing that opens your sunroof a motor and the thing that makes your car move an engine but honestly, WHO GIVES A SHIT!

that $$ is not for just the rotors!:D
and these are already on a car with 18" with sweet clearence.:beer
