this can be a variety of things. I just got my timing belt changed by the dealer and they also changed my camshaft sensor. After driving around for awhile i hear a high muffled sound. almost like i have a aftermarket exhaust. I can be crusining in fourth at 3000 rpms and it sounds like i m crusing at a higher rpm. Could this be the muffler, or could it have to do with how the car idles?

Maybe they didnt get the timing just rite

idles like it did before i took it in. It still has idle surge in hot weather, cool weather it idles fine. its just when i get to fourth gear it sounds like a high idle muffled sound. like in fourth ill be crushin at 3000 grand and it sounds like it at 5000. just sounds like a high idling noise.

Tomorrow im going to get a tune up, and change the biss screw, to see what happens

Oh well then it couldnt be the timing belt job then.

Clean your TB out. Check for leaks, what yours vaccum at idle.

Ill do that to. i have no clue what the vaccum is like. i have no after market gauges yet. I will be getting some soon.
