Ok, I know that I pretty much hate Sprint, and love my Nextel, but I would seriously give up the 2-way and go with Sprint, just to get this phone. We have one out here at work and Ive been playing with it all day. Ive been playing on the internet on it, fucking thing has Wi-Fi, its amazing. Has the full keyboard and eveything, I think my texting would go from around 3-4k per month to like 10k with this phone, haha.

Yeah, it looks exactly like it. I only look at the Sprint one though because I work for a Sprint/Nextel Dealer, lol, so it might look bad if I went with AT&T, but I will have this phone, I could care less about the 2 way at this point.

^^ Ya know, I was the same way. I loved Nextel. Until I tried one of the Hybrid "powersource" phones. Nextel phones lack so much it's not even funny. The texting was a big issue for me. Nextel's messaging is so slow that I wouldn't get texts for a couple hours or even the next day. I switched to the ic902 and been nothing but happy with it. It's got a couple issues with the software on the phone but I get much better service. The calls are crystal clear too - just like Nextel's call quality. I get better service with this phone and better text messaging - not to mention, better features on the phone. I can have screen savers, animation, better MP3 ringtones (clearer) and it's just a better phone in my opinion. I was thinking about switching to the Mogul as well but I do have a few people that I only use the walkie talkie with. It's nice to have it sometimes and I don't know if I want to give that up....

Yeah, well, in Zanesville the Hybrid phones arent available because it doesnt go to Sprint PCS until you get into Newark, anything east of that is Sprint I-PCS. But as far as losing the 2way, I dont think I really care about that, even though I do 2way a lot of people, but I also have their cell numbers, so I could just call them.

Yep, have to at least have a Newark prefix, if its Zanesville, they wont activate it.

Dude, I'm sorry but those are a waste of money. I don't know about any other carriers but with Nextel, it was like, $100 bucks a month to have the Blackberry and that was baiscally the cheapest plan. Yes, I realize that they have many features that a normal cell phone doesn't but it's not like there isn't a computer left in sight to take care of most of that stuff. WASTE, in my opinion. I am sure there are several of you who disagree....

Jeff knows my feelings on a phone :headbang
The only real complaint that I have so far is the lack of 3g. Haven't been able to play with the new pseudo-GPS features on it yet either. I have used it as an uplink for a laptop via wi-fi to the EDGE network however. It's slow but will suffice in a sticky situation with no internet for a computer.

Blackberrys are ok, I had one for a while, I liked it, but I wanted a "sleeker" phone. But the iPhone is freaking awesome. We have one at the shop too, just doesnt have the phone service on it, and its awesome.

Dont know if anyone has thrown the sidekick in yet, but i gotta say the thing is extreemly easy to use and the danger OS maked doing whatever easy. No menu's to go through it's all just rolling up or down with the track ball. And it still does alot of what most PDA's do.
But i gotta say i do have a Deaf friend so i'm kinda biast

I have the pearl and its pretty small, its a little taller than a pack of smokes and as thin as a pen. I used to have nextels for a long time and they are big and bulky. I also had a samsung upstage II neat idea but the phone was total junk. I use my blackberry at work all the time. I can get my emails while I am on the floor and have all my call for my extension directed right to the phone. I am hardly in my office as it is. Also I use the GPS and tv service alot. I was torn between the iPhone and the blackberry, but I really wanted to wait for the next version of the iPhone to come out.

ugh

I thought about the pearl but when I realized I would still have to hit the buttons twice for texting I went with the sidekick. The sidekick is kind of a rip off though. What kind of phone doesn't come with an alarm clock or calculator? It's also kind of bulky but whatever. I'll use it for a couple of years and then get the next best thing.

We kinda like our iPhone. It has everything we need and more. No problems here other than a battery issue.
