noises come then goes and brings another problem

last night driving to a friends house i hear a weird whipping noise when i accelerated almost like a belt breaking and whipping around in there i pull in a parking lot and see if it goes away when pulling out the whipping sound went away this morning comming home i notice my oil gauge is reading NOTHING no pressure i know i have oil in there and how the hell all the sudden is it readin this are these problems related
what was that sound whats going on

any ideas?

Just because there's oil in there doesn't mean there's oil pressure. The pump could have failed, or it could be as simple as the sending unit got hit by whatever was flailing around. You shouldn't be driving the car dude until you get these problems fixed. All this junk is just going to snowball into a huge problem.

When my car was eating alt. belts, everytime the belt got ripped it would hit the pressure gauge sending unit wire and knock it off. It should be easy to tell if that's the case, just look under the car behind the drivers side front tire, if there's a wire laying there somewhere, it could very well be the wire for the sender.

Ya, headed south (towards Lowe's) You so goofy Marc :D Yep, that was us at the light heading into Meijer's...We could spot you anywhere with the panty hose tail lights :)
