You need 2 line wrenches to get it off, but I'm not sure on the proceedure of it. Maybe JP will enlighten us, since I know that he just did it a month or so ago.

You need a lippy wrench or a line wrench.
Unscrew both ends thats all.. then pull it off the firewall. If you cant get it.. try some PB blaster.. not sure how it mixes with gas but it wont blow up ;)

I've left it attached to the firewall. One line wrench for the fitting and one that goes on the flter (14mm(?) and a 19mm or 3/4"). Get them lined up near one another and squeeze them together like you're making a fist. Make sure you are loosing them and not trying to tighten--it can be confusing since you're working from the "wrong" side.

Just in case you don't know a line wrench is sometimes called a flared nut wrench. In case your going to look for one in the store and can't find it.

oh god midas??
Just ask for help next time, most of us could have had it done in a few minutes for the price of a beer for our time.
