They are different. I don't know specifically how but they say that during a 6 bolt swap that you need to use a 2g knock sensor and not the one off the 6 bolt so they must differ in some way. It could just be the connector type but someone here may know.

The connector is different yes.

Ive heard the 2G sensor was more sensative to knock and that 1G people have used them before... now wether or not this is true 100%.. im not sure.. not like we can just throw a logger on a 2G and pull knock counts.

When using the AEM EMS you have to get a 2g knock sensor for the 1g.. Only time I've heard of 2g ina 1g knock sensor.. ;)

I've heard that the 2G is more sensitive to knock as well and is an upgrade for a 1G. Not sure if anyone else knows whats up with this, but thats what I read somewhere (forget where).

I think you'd have to cut and splice the wires together though because the connectors aren't the same, I think.

Connectors are different ya.

The 2G one looks like a triangle, and the 1G one is a side by side 2 pin.
