What do I need to know to install a head unit into the ol RS.
The bestbuy dude told me it had to be a custom install cause of the amp and that there was no way i could do it myself at which point i told him about my recent motor build and instal (left off the non seating ring part)
Which harness do i need, Whats the wiring diagram, where do I start.

Buy the wiring harness from your local autozone/advanced thats made for the yr/make/model. You will get a harness with your new head unit, the harness you buy has the wiring diagram on the box. Connect the wires of your head unit to the wires on your new harness and your done. Rs's didnt come with amps. You may want to go to circuit city and buy the mounting kit, they have the best one from what i've seen. If you need assistance holla at ya boy. Its really easy though.

If she hasn't bought the head unit yet then i'd recommend circuit city. They have top of the line head units and their installation is free with the purchase. Now if she already has it then don't pay someone. It really couldn't be easier. Bring the harness by,i'll solder it up and its easy as 1-2-3.

yeah she got the unit from best buy and they pitched the "Custom" install.
She lives in akron btw and with that blown TCU freeway operation is a big no no.

don't forget the mounting kits that will put a spacer in the double din slot if the head unit is single din.
