Got the Galant VR4 running last night, and it ran well for 10-15 minutes. Shut it down to check the oil level and made no changes.

Pulled the pump and it was hanging off the pump assembly by only the plug, hooked the pump up to the battery and it does run. Re-secured the pump to the assembly and now the pump wont run (no fuel coming out of the return and cant hear it turn on).

MPI fuse seems ok, and all wiring seems ok as it ran with no changes to the wires.

When I got the car one of the wires on the assembly plug was cut, and 8 wires were cut on the ecu harness. All of the wires have been soldered but 2 that were cut too short on the harness, one is green one is white.

Is there anything I else I can check to see why there is no signal?

Is there a fuel pump relay on a 1g?

Was the suction side of the pump still protected by the filter. If not, it may have
picked up something.

It wasnt connected to the feed line for a short time. The pump isnt even clicking on though.

Make sure the fuel pump wires are seated properly in the plugs. They may look OK, but one could be loose--especially if the pump was hanging and putting stress on the wiring.

I have another pump if you want to check anything else.

It's probably crankwalk.

I guess you have to plug everything in for it to start.
