I need some more SMS cars registered on www.dlbracing.com if I'm going to drive away with a trophy :)
Currently scheduled to drive third heat (again) probably around 1:30-ish, but that is subject to change (again).

That should give us plenty of time for the suspension upgrades in the parking lot. Bring the jack!

Looks like the weather is going to be warm and sunny with a chance of a thunderstorm to liven things up.

I was getting all excited about doing some 1st heat pit work. I guess I'll have to break something on Stas's car to pass the time...

Scattered thunderstorms likely in the AM, but clearing by noon. I hope we keep the 3rd heat run spot :)

You can blow my right strut to match my left one...
Hummm, not a big fan of working in the rain either, but we'll see.

If that's the case, I'll let you keep your asymmetrical suspension setup :thumb
I look forward to sharing a breakfast burrito with you!

Why thank you.
They better have them and not say they have them and then not have them, that was just mean.

The chance of rain should be gone by the time the first car rolls :fruity

OOOOOHHHHHHH COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you serious!? How you gonna tease me like that!!!!!!!! I was on fire, had to do with a cold shower for 20 minutes. That's it! I'm mapquesting the nearest pool for the next event and will be in it 3 minutes after the event is over! Wearing swim trunks to the event. Haha. Good times today, except getting good times, at least for me. Congrats to you sir, on that lovely looking trophy, which I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of in optically illusional (is that at word?) way. Is that English? Well you know what I'm trying to say and or talking about. Damn that a lot of typing did I get one of them sun shock blast things or is that still red bull working doing it's thing. Oh yeah, here is a fun fact: You got beat by a girl!!! by 0.001 of a second, lol. Ok, I'll go take a breath now.

There will be a pool about 10 minutes from the RallyX event 1 week from today :D Based on this week's weather, the water temp should maintain it's current 80* status.

Enough pool talk already!
On with the analysis...
Screen shot one is the usual graphical summary of the day's runs.
The second is as follows (from top to bottom):
-Run/Session 3 (my quickest time) showing all six channels captured from the AuxBox in linear display.
-All channels except RPM and Boost are hidden
-Run/Session 1 (my second best time) is overlayed atop as dashed lines. Box is entered to highlight the variance at a specific data point. (NOTE to Stas: that 10 PSI difference is called "commitment"). Ideally, the solid line should be above/ahead of the dashed in showing signs of improvement. This is where run-to-run comparisons can improve your plan of attack. Although I missed the 1-2 shift, I wasn't as behind as I thought and had pulled even by the end of the back half. (The steadier RPMs through the slalom and the aforementioned commitment at the switchback allowed this to occur.) I squeaked ahead by a couple of tenths at the end.
-Run/Session 4 (my third best time) is overlayed and shifted to the left to allow focus at the end of the run (highlighted in green). Due to a bad entry,
I was forced into a downshift to first. Although I was at a higher RPM/boost, there was also much more fluctuation in RPM/boost. In the end it showed virtually no change in time for that section of the course--slow and steady wins the race.

Now on to RPM/lateral G:
-The two are isolated from the rest.
-The time scale is widened to focus on the slalom section
-The lateral G line is smoothed to remove the spikes and get a better indicator of how much grip could be maintained.
-Min and Max lines are inserted and values highlighted as well as the spread between the two. While I can't say I could maintain 1.1 on a 300' skidpad, the fact that the car a can do it for nearly 2 seconds is enough to impress me :)

Now onto fuel. I know Mike C has shown concern with the duty cycles on my stock injectors, so here's the 3D plot to show frquency of occurrence that I'm actually tagging 80% or higher.
RPM (Z-axis), AFR (X-axis) and frequency of occurrence for duty cycle (Y-axis) are plotted. The color is adjusted on the left with the sliders on the duty cycle so that anything above 80% shows red on the plot. Not only is there little red shown, but the number of counts of those colored areas are very low. I won't be concerned until I'm hitting over 100% :wtf
That's all for now. I'm off for another swim!

Is that daylight under the inside rear on #185? Oversteer/Rotation on 384? I think Stas almost had it up on two wheels for #379 :eek
