Oh really...? Funny, but I'm actually trying to make something out of this. :finger
Got my first recruit today at school. Two more and it will be like in the video, 10 levels deep, 80,000 people and I'll take my theoretical $2 for the net of $160k and get my Nismo GTR I guess....;)

I'm still not convinced you can monetize websurfing if you are not google or a massive adsense whore.

This stuff needs to stay out of the Parts Trader section, SERIOUSLY.

General Chat is fine.

That's cool. I'm sure there is a number of online malls and such. Google is behind this to some degree. And it's just nice to try something from the very beginning, from the ground floor so to speak and see what happens.

And Ken, I'm sorry I did not make it in, I was thinking of doing a surprise gift of sort, but did not have enough time, for it to be a surprise.

Lol haha sounds like someone did not get enough sleep. :)

Very good! My phone is acting up at the moment. So Email would be best.
But Ken, listen to this great idea:

A loving son calls up his mother and invites her to lunch. They meet up at a cozy place that they both enjoy. A wonderful hug takes place like they have not seen each other in ages. They get a table and place their order for some yummy goodness. The son then announces that he has some wonderful news! The mother looks at him with the eyes full of hope and expecting greatness. The son proudly speaks. "Mother, the night is over, I saw the light, I have joined the greatest mlm company in the universe! Will you love me even more now? And join me in my quest for greatness that holds unlimited possibilities!" Tears of joy begin to flow as a resounding "Yes" echoes throughout the establishment. "Son, I'm so proud of you". Another hug takes place, just as their order arrives. The food was mildly cold by the time all the paper work was filled out. A year later they had lunch again at the same place. They both made it there promptly on time as they were driving LS9 powered vehicles of the two and four door variety. And everyone lived happily ever after...

Yeah It's supposed to open at 1. Seems to be pretty jammed up at the moment and I'd imagine it will be for some time since it's the first day of the launch. Keep trying, should get through. It was in the top 2000 most visited sites a few days ago, so today traffic will be crazy!

Iwishiwascool

Sounds more like a breakdown in the business model to not have an available web page on launch day especially for a web based business. In 1998 it may have been a sign of prosperity but not in 2009.

Yeah, make sure you use Stas's link for sign-up. I know before I enjoyed my $10 any pizza, any topping last night that I did ;) (BTW Pizza Hut is not in the Blast Off mall... wierd that they're promoting it, but could be a newbie late to the game--like me :D )

Negative. First you pay a penny, then two, then four, then eight, then by the end of the month you've paid ten mill. Or something like that.

I have not even click the link- so I plead ignorance-

But, just by reading he posts, explain how this is NOT a pyramid scheme?

ucsigep
11-22-2009, 03:12 PM
I could be wrong, but a pyramid scheme to me always meant that I paid a fee to be part of it, which went up the chain.

This one, you pay zero. It costs nothing. If it works, what the hell. If it doesn't, I'm not out anything.

I'm still waiting to see if my Best Buy purchases get me my 1% back...

I dont know about other people, but to me time IS money. So even if you technically have nothing monetarily invested-The time you take pushing it and recruiting "customers" has to be taken into consideration.

Stanislav94
11-22-2009, 09:19 PM
Seems like we spend our times on many ventures with limited or no returns. It's like telling the people in your circle of interests about a sweet vendor where you got some part at a kick ass price and you want to share your joy with others by having others experience a good deal as you did. Putting it another way, and I know I'm just reusing the line - You go see a movie, you like it, you tell a friend about it, you recommend it, they go see it, does Hollywood pay you? Well in this instance you are rewarded for your recommendation. I know there is more to it than that, but that's the basic general view.

On another note for those who have joined, you did not join the army. It's not "The army of one". A network of one is not really a network, at least in my book. ;) :beer

And I guess some vendors compile commissions at the end of the month or thirty days from purchase or whatever, so a little patience is a virtue. But I'm pretty excited to see what happens as well. :)

Stanislav94
11-23-2009, 01:45 PM
* Important note to those building their network: Use your "Free" time to recruit, otherwise you might fall a victim to a pyramid scheme.

Say I make a post "Free brand new 16G, come pick it up". Then say you're a top dog lawer making 500 an hour, living an hour away. You come get it. Did you just get schemed? Where you could have bought two online. :beer

I don't exactly have a lot of time invested, either. I tell people about it in conversation, that's about it. I'm not looking to get rich off of it. But when Best Buy gives 1% back on purchases from their website, when I'm shopping there anyways, I figure why not...

I'm losing faith, Stas.... I made purchases at bestbuy.com on 11/13 and still haven't seen the cash back....

I may have to just use bing.com, since it does the same thing, and I know it works. :)

Stanislav94
12-14-2009, 11:09 PM
Yeah, I've been checking my account a few times a week and not seeing anything either. I will further look into it and find out how the pay structure works a little better and see if you have to a accumulate a certain amount before it shows up. But I was under the impression as well that everything shows up. Like on my Pre-Paid Legal account every penny shows up, pretty sure this is similar. Like as soon as the transaction is complete and accounted for it goes into your account. I'll try to find out what's going on.

EvolvedDSM
12-15-2009, 01:44 AM
The way this works for my Upromise account is that you have to accumulated $20 ($25?) before the funds are credited... and even then it's on a quarterly basis.

ucsigep
12-15-2009, 02:26 PM
Well I e-mailed the support people to find out why the credit isn't showing, they are talking to Best Buy.

EvolvedDSM
12-15-2009, 02:42 PM
I should add that you can still see the pending funds at any time via Upromise, but they aren't disbursed until the above criteria is met.
