i have been wanting to turbo the 420a for a whild now and just now have gotten to the point of almost there..only problem i have came across yet is the wastgate thing..well i have a friend that says he has a turbo for sale that came off of a 300z well he said that almost all turbo's are the same and that it would work for the car..all i needed was the flange off of it..then after that said i was lookin for the manifold for it.....do they make an aftermarket exhaust manifold with the wastgate flange not on there i just hate the look and the restricted air flow of the OEM one..reason of this is they say that the internal wastegate is not really that good and that they might not make an aftermarket one with out it.... i dunno.....but if he is wrong please help they are great at what they do...but i dont want a ghetto ass car..lol.....please help..

almost all turbo's are the same in what way? not specifically. Each different kind (or size) of turbo uses different wheels and compressors and so forth, making them create more or less efficient power at different flow rates. Im not sure about using any turbo part from a 300Z on an Eclipse, but I know they arent the same as DSM's.

Your friend is wrong. If you're going to do it, do it right.

yeha i was thinkin that too..but what i was thinkin was that all i would use would be the turbo...just the turo wouldnt work...also they told me that if i got the factory turbo which i think is the 14b that it could be upgraded just by replacing the internals of it.....i dunno...its all good though i have to find out some way just dont want it to be the hard one....but about the manifold can i get one for my car that dont have the wastegate flange on it cause all the turbos ive been lookin at like the big 16g and the 16g turbos all have the internal one..i have heard that u can change it to the external but its cheaper and better to just buy the other one.....but the manifold is what im really worried about cause i wanna try to just piece this thing together....thanks yall

hrc kit comes w/ a 16g, upgradeable to a 20g, not a t3/t4. the difference between a t25 and a t3/t4 is like a v6 camero and a z28. nite and day. i'm editing that noob link and should have something ready for ya monday, stay tuned.
