ok dudes.......im thinikin about swappin my 420a out in my neon for a 2.4L dohc out of a pt crusier....ne body know if ill need different mounts or if ne mods will have to be done????

I know they have problems with head gaskets dont they.

Thats way too much work for something that isnt going to get you many gains.

Spend some cash and put a turbo kit on the 2.0L :idunno

That is beyond the scope of what we cover in this club. This is a DSM club, not a mopar club. The DSM's here that have 420a engines should already consider themselves lucky that we let them in this club to begin with. ;)

Ok so you wanna better engine?....go out and save your money and direct swap a SRT-4 motor in. turbo 2.4L. BTW the PT cruiser motors .4L difference wont do as much as a cold air intake on your 2.0L...only way for fun powere is turbo or nitrous.

I would not bother with the 2.4 swap unless you plan on stroking it with forged internals and spraying a butt load of nitros. This is the only way to get power out of them while keeping them N/A. Just turbocharge your 2.0. It is a proven platform for forced induction.

have you checked the neon boards? i've read that putting the 2.4l into 2g requires different mounts and oil pan. but since the neon motor is situated differently from the dsm, it may be easier.
