View Full Version : Did a compression test yesterday.

Ok from left to right I had

4 3 2 1
148 130 90 150

Did a leakdown test in cyl 2 and the compression cam up to 128. So not only do I have a blown HG, but I have bad rings.

Correct Lipps. A leekdown test is where you blow compressed air through a cylinder to determine where the pressure is escaping. What we did is usually just called a "wet test". If the pressure didn't come up then the leek test would have been the next thing to do because it will tell you whether your dealing with a HG or a valve.

Where can I get this done? And where can I get a AWD Dyno done?

You can do it in your driveway, you can buy a compresion tester for like $20 at sears hardware or any other auto parts store.

To my knowladge, there isn't an AWD Dyno with in 500 miles.

Granted, these are Mustang dynos. But hey, they are AWD dynos, better than nothing...
