View Full Version : idle is low on cold start
Hey people,
Like the topic says, the car idles really low on a cold start. Makes the car shake pretty bad. It goes away after the car is warmed up.
Any ideas on what to check first?
Thanks!

it could also be your BISS (base idle set screw) on the throttle body but seeing that your idle eventually gets to be normal, I'd say that it does not need adjusted. just run a general tune up on your car...air filter..oil change....
my car always seems to work out little bugs like that if I get on the highway and romp on it up to 100 for a few minutes.....not suggested nor safe but it seems to "clean things out" for me. lots of carbon buildup due to running too rich could be my explanation.
