There was a major power outage in the city where the server was located and they decided to shut down our server to keep the data from getting corrupted. A UPS can only last for so many minutes.

Our hosting server is located in hostmonster.com's server farm in Provo, UT. Due to a power outage in Provo (http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=10917336), the servers were taken offline. Power was restored and the servers were brought back online. No data loss or corruption should have occurred.
