next couple of days???? i had mine done in 1 hr doing it by myself :) ..if you need a hand just holla, my pos should be road worth today :thumb not bad for being down since the shoot out, waiting on parts owns me...the only leak that could be being on top of the tranny if your sure its oil is either your valve cover or your crank case breather ...where does it collecting oil at?? where does it look like its coming from??

I put on an axle and a week later the boot was ripped... I dont think DSM boot's like lowered car's to well....

On the oil thing... is it actually the grease from the cv boot?

As far as replacing half shafts go.. It's no fun if they are rusted to the hub. I still have one half shaft rusted to the front hub rusted to the brake rotor. But as long as they aren't rusted to anything they are pretty easy to change out. One nut, one pin, and a push, along with a pull. :rolleyes Yeah right though..

"All in theory..." When I go to do mine (which needs to be done), I'm going to invest in a nice, big dead-blow hammer. Hopefully that will help a little in getting it out of the hub as well as a can of PB Blaster. :thumb

i agree with sam, when you lower the car it changes the whole geometry of the suspension and puts more strain on certain parts. (according to Laura's uncle). hopefully your axle nuts are not rusted solid onto the shaft like mine.

This will be the second time I have done this...so nothing will be rusted thank god

I think Drew is right. That looks like Tranny fluid not oil. Don't let that tranny go low.

dont even start with this boot and axle thing........it only goes down hill form here....

anyways if ur axle itsnt that old it could be the stut falling down and touching the boot...that was my prob for the first 2 axles.....
