Issues with my sent messages

When I look in my sent messages folder, it always shows I have no sent messages even though I just sent one, and have sent multiple in the days before. Does anybody else have this issue and does anybody know how to get this resolved? The message usually go through, they just don't show that I actually sent them.

when you send a message you have to check the box "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder"
