Trying to find an EVO

I have around 16000 to spend on an EVO but am having trouble finding any in that price range.

What does everyone think about this one?

Agreed, I just need to get in a car and all I have is 16000 which isn't bad, problem is my GST is burning oil like crazy and can't figure out why. Any ideas anyone?

Anyone know a good attorney? Reason my car started burning oil is because the goodyear I got my oil changed at forgot to put he oil cap back on and when I noticed all my oil was out, all over my engine and the bottom of my hood. Now my engine is burning oil like crazy and they aren't wanting to admit guilt.

Basically yea, I was running with little to no oil, spooling1g, it never smoked or anything it just starting running like shit so I popped the hood to check my oil level and that's when I noticed oil all over the place and the oil cap was left off. I took it back and bitched them out and now it burnt through a whole new refill over the weekend! So now I'm pretty much stuck until I find out what they are going to do. Also I've just wanted an evo regardless, not just because my eclipse is now F'd.

If that's the case, you've likely destroyed your rings from lack of cylinder wall lube- but its a miracle you did that before you spun a bearing!

Its Piston rings brosef-you'd need a motor rebuild. Even if its just the valve seals, the thing needs to come apart (unless your a seasoned tech and have all the right tools AKA not quick lube). Basically, if its anything other than a gasket leak, or a F'd PCV- motor has got to come out. (With the symptoms you are describing)

I just talked to them on the phone, they said when I brought it back in (after I noticed the oil cap was left off, Friday) it was only 1 quart of oil low and they said this wouldn't have caused an issue. So they topped it off and I burnt through all of the oil again over the weekend. I need to find a way to pin this on them because my car was absolutely fine before I ever took it in to get the oil changed..... any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated....

You may need to just cut your loss and try to sell the car as is or do a stock rebuild. You will have mor emoney in attorney fees trying to sue them than it will cost you to rebuild your motor or drop another motor in there.

Do a 6 bolt swap, sell me the 7 bolt head and call it a day.

Ebay Turbo air intake, boost controller. 156000 miles. Transmission shifts and feels great though and it has a new clutch, not a upgraded clutch or anything though. Feels like a stock clutch.

Well I'm not sure yet what I'm doing with the car, I have to wait to hear back from the Goodyear claims department. They are sending an "investigator" out to look at my, then they will be notifying me of what they are going to do. So if I end up keeping the car I'll keep the headlights, if not though I'll let you know how much I'll be selling them for.
