Im NOT into taking sandpaper to a set of rims..

Anyone know where I can find soom GOOD aircraft paint stripper around? That shizza will strip anything off a set of rims :thumb

Gonna paint the stockies black for the winter and polish the lip. (Lip? :D )

The whole sandpaper scheme is not really a big deal, all u need to do is lightly scuff the surface and you're good to go. I just painted my wheels gunmetal and taped off the lip and they turned out really good. 3 coats of paint and 2 of clearcoat... its worth it. I will post some pics when I get home to my computer.

Of course some light sand paper to scuff it yes.

2 coats of primer... 3 coats of black and 3 of clear coat... And your set.

Of course enough drying time, and dont drive on them for a couple days.. (rite gunner :D )

Actually... i washed them, scuffed them a little, dryed them off and then applied the paint and clear waiting about 15-20 min for each layer... i then let them sit about 30min after I was done, put them on and have been rollin on them since. No Problems!

Here are a few pics.
