Hey guys,
I had a weird experience last night on the way home with my white car AT. When I work both jobs I drive from Morse Road to Reynoldsburg at night. Last night while sitting at a light by the 71 south on ramp I noticed my interior lights. Usually they dim a little while idling. That is normal and they always return to normal brightness when I hit the gas to go forward. I noticed that they didn't return to normal. They weren't bad. I drove all the way home (40 minute drive) and things are ok. Lights seemed a little dimmer. I get about a block away from my house and the cd player kicks off. Then the lights get real dimm. I barely make it to my house. I turn the car off and let it sit for a minute and then try and start it. Click click click. Dead. First thing I think is alternator. I get up this morning and get in my car to get my bag and I notice the lights are normal again. So I put the key in and it fires right up. Now I'm confused. If the alternator was bad there is no way I would have made it all the way home. It is possible the belt was slipping. I broke an alternator belt at the shootout. The new one has squeled periodically ever since. Do you guys have any ideas? I'm thinking the belt needs tightening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pavo

Could be as simple as a bad ground. Try cleaning both the battery terminals and connectors with one of them wire brushes and make sure it is all tightened good back down.

I second cleaning the connectors. It sounds like an intermittent thing so I'd start there.
