I was looking at snow shovels recently in various stores. They are all CRAP. Plastic disposable CRAP.
I bought a really nice thick aluminum blade model 2 or 3 years ago and the company that makes it refuses to sell a replacement steel wear strip for it. It has started to wear into the aluminum which will destroy it. Makes it just as bad as the plastic crap shovels.
After some Internet research, I found this company:
http://www.yeomanandcompany.com/
They sell replacement wear plates. They have one that looks like it would fit my shovel. It has the same rivet count and they are evenly spaced. I also kind of like their shovels too.
Even the steel blade models should have a replacement strip on them. Steel wears too.
It looks like you might be able to buy these shovels locally at the Zettler hardware stores. I will have to check it out. It would be nice if they sold the replacement parts locally too.
