I am putting on new rotors, pads and drums this spring when I bleed my brake lines while Im installing all my new toys I've accumulated this winter :D . I would also like to install some SS lines too, but we'll see how much money and time is left. Anyways, I want better pads and rotors on the front (Im tired of the stock stuff feelin mushy). I was wondering which kind of rotors would be better and why. Powerstop or Brembo OE style? or any other...and what kinda pads should I use with these?

Rotors are what ever you think you need....some will disagree but i think slotted and dimpled rotors are the way to go.. personally i Love my axxis metal master brake pads and the next thing up from that would be portor(sp) feilds

well I was thinking of going with the powerstop because they are slotted & cross drilled, but then again Brembo has some great products. And as far as the pads, I was thinkin Axxis, its the only one I've really heard of other than Wilwood and stuff, but those are only for the bir brake upgrades.

Brembo blanks with some Hawk or Porterfield street pads. If you want more braking, consider a swap to AWD calipers up front.

I don't really like the cross drilled ones because they crack. Dimpled is the way to go. A friend of mine has a 97 GST and he got a full set of Brembo dimpled and slotted rotors, front and rear, with pads and stainless lines for less than $400 from this place called http://raceconcepts.net. The guys name is Wood. He is a cool guy and we used to buy a ton of brakes from him when I worked at a local shop. He always did a really good job for us and he was pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

I also used to deal with a lady named Marilyn at KVR Performance a few years ago. That is what I have on my car. She was very helpful and it was a great experience overall. Their prices were quite a bit higher back then, not so sure if they came down or not.
