Byerly's on 5th has some of the best prices.

Aquarium adventure's is expensive unless they have a sale.

I have a 75G and 55G freshwater. The 75 I have to change 30 gallons of water every 4 days just to keep the nitrate down. The 55 I change 20 gallons weekly. I like them, so it does not bother me.

Never had saltwater, how do you remove nitrate without water changes? In fresh, only way to remove nitrate is water changes.

Byerly's on 5th has some of the best prices.

This is where I use to buy a lot of my salt water supplies. They had a great assortment of fish and unusual things back in the day.

Here's my little story about obtaining "live rock". I went to Myrtle Beach to visit my mother one year and decided to pick up a bunch of rocks, coral type rocks along the shore line to file my fish tank (I had a 200 gallon and a 90 gallon at the time) and I brought them home in buckets loaded to the rim. After arranging them in the tank...several weeks later I started noticing all these little fan worms forming on the rocks....Before long, it was a full blown coral reef with soft coral and fan worms everywhere. At the time I decided to sell the tank...I sold it as a tank and all deal....I was told I had more than a few thousand of dollars worth of live rock easily. It was unbelievable how they multiplied so quickly.

If you ever get a chance to vacation along the beach, try picking up some of the rocks you see...you might be amazed at what surprizes you actually come home with.

I had a 55 gal freshwater for a few years. I loved it at first but the maintenance just got to be to much. It sprunk a little leak this winter and I had to get rid of it. It kinda sucked but I am glad it is gone now. I still love aquariums but dont miss the work.
