not the side markers, the corners. It's part of the headlight. I want to do the same thing, but have heard it is a royal PITA.

Taking them apart isn't bad, it's putting them back together that sucks.

blah, yes a pain in the ass, but its worth it.

1.your goin have to take the bumper off to get the headlights out
2. once the headlights are out, heat up the sealer around the lights
3. its better to do this with another person, one pulls while the other sticks a flat head screwdriver in between the light in the housing
4. once broke apart, the amber piece is held in my one screw
5. take it out
6. heat up the sealer again, push back together, then go over stop of it with a clear silicon make sure theres no cracks
7. put lights on, then the bumper

thats the quick version, pm me if you got anymore questions

Can this be done without taking the bumper off?

yep, but it's not as simple. You still have to take the 5 bolts out of the top so you can get to the lower bolts on the headlights. That only leaves 4 bolts left that hold the cover on, and 4 or 5 clips if you still have the bumper.

It is actually a more simple project to take the bumper cover off, but if you know what you are doing, it's easier to just take the headlights out without taking the bumper off.

And how do you get the bumper cover off (specifically those plastic clips that sit 90* from the headlight housing) without removing the headlights?

I know you can unbolt the entire bumper assembly and slide it out, but that takes too long and it's heavy.

It's called a flathead screwdriver and a hammer. That's how I did it, those clips are plastic.
