has anyone considered converting their AWD to RWD? rotating the engine 90 degrees...Ford 9" rear end...maybe a reliable tranny off of some other kind of car custom bolted up? Maybe tub the rear end to make it ready for 2 foot wide slicks.

I was just thinking about the people with HIGH HP who keep breaking trannies...it would seem cheaper to just to go outlaw on the car for reliablilties sake.

I thought Buschur sold an adapter plate to bolt the engine up with it turned 90 degrees.

it would be kool to convert it to rwd but the car would never handle the same as i was told..even if u converted it to fwd for a sort while it still would not handle right b/c the car is set up for awd and not fwd or rwd so i think if u did it then u would have some suspension tinkering to figure out but it would pretty kool though to go to a drift comp. w/ a rwd talon

RWD hooks better. Watch Sheps fastest run. Look at where *what's his name* in the 300ZX is by the time Shep is through the 60'. Granted Shep doesn't dump the clutch, there's still an advantage to be had there.
