Ok, this has nothing to do with my problem, but I'm going to say it anyway. So I'm sitting at a red light just now (1am, no one was around so I'm not too too stupid) and I launch my car for the hell of it. I hear this terrible squeal. Half my alternator belt was missing, but the other half was fine and plenty tight and only like a month old. By the time I got home it was just gone. So annoying.

Aanyway, here's my problem. I'm getting this really high pitched squeak that I only seem to hear at low speeds, like cruising for a parking spot or something. It seems to be related to my wheel speed, but not directly. The slower I go the longer the squeak is and the longer it is between them. I put it at about half a wheel revolution. The faster I go the higher pitch it is and shorter. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't remember hearing it when I pulled in just now. But I was worried about the belt. I dunno. Maybe one of my pulleys is getting all crappy on me.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Also, the hulk is the worst movie ever created.

Warning tabs on the brakes or the dust shield is hitting your rotor.

Hm. No dust shields and I think the brakes aren't more than a year old. What's this about a mysterious bov squeak?

front wheel bearings?

so...it doesn't do it while sitting still?...and while revving engine? if this is the case then it would almost rule out belt/pulley problems.

If it does it while in motion then it is rotor/wheel bearing/driveshaft/dust shield/brake pad rubbing problems.

I wore down my front brake pads to the metal clips in 2 years or maybe slightly less than 2 years. It depends on how many stop/go miles you put on your car. If you do the AutoX thingy then expect to change your pads at least once per year...maybe twice per year.
