Hey ya'll. Me again. :p
How do I tune the HKS BOV? Not sure which way to adjust the bolt in the back. It flutters at low rpms but at WOT it's fine.
Any suggestions? Oh, someone already suggested on EvoM that I ditch it and go with the 1G BOV. Call me stupid but I
like the sound of the HKS, so I want to stay with it. :thumb

Nah. You dont want that. Stick with the SSQ.
It will probably flutter for you at only a few psi or so. As long as it isnt horrible, you should be ok. I bet it sounds nice at 20psi tho :) You can try adjusting the bolt on the back of the bov a bit..

Sup man?
The fluttering makes me think that it aint workin right. Don't want ot cruz down the road and someone say "what a dumbass. he needs to fix that shit". :p
So how will the BOV react if I tighten the bolt or loosen it? Not sure which wayt o go.
John is right. I will flutter a little bit. As long as it is not causing compressor surge. Try backing the bolt out all the way. If it leaks under boost turn it in a little. You shouldn't have to turn the bolt in much at all.
The SSQ is designed with a dual chamber so it should not leak.

i have the same bov and it does the same thing .. anything below 5psi and it flutters .. might be higher for you though since you run so much more boost than i do :D

Flutter = Compressor surge = bad. This happens when it is adjusted too tight. Loosen it up some so it opens sooner.
