ok so i think i found a sony clie that im bout to buy for logging i looked at pocket logger and it says sj series should work.
now i know there is the hot sync cable i would have to buy. also the cable from there to like the actuall car now arent those real expensive i think ive seen 90-175$ why the hell are they so much anyone here make them?
also software. the software it actually downloads onto the palm correct? where can i get the software about how much is it? or am i able to get soft ware from someone and load it onto mine?

after looking a bit more the damn cable and software is 175$!!! that is crazy!! im thinkin forget that idea unless anyone has ideas

just do it, bro. Yeah, it's expensive, but look at what you do with it. It will pay for itself just by allowing you to tune your car so that you get the most out of your other mods.

IMO, anyways. I bought mine, and I don't regret spending the money one bit.

I just picked up a Palm IIIc on e-bay for $65. Next step is Pocketlogger and a cable--ouch, but worth it ;)

i can get the cable from dsm parts.com for 80 bucks shipped, he said it uses either tunerstein software or something called mmcd..something to consider

tunerstein sucks. I'm a firm believer in the Pocketlogger software. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but imo you get what you pay for, and the tunerstein is free. I know of guys that tried the tunerstein, and it would connect for about 4 minutes, then he had to shut everything off, turn off the car, let the ecu shut off, then turn it back on for it to work for another 4 or 5 minutes. Kind of a PITA for tuning.

if im not mistaken a guy sales logger software and cables on ebay for about $45 i dont know what the difference is. its for a palm or laptop. have you checked that out

Im with Jeff... Tunerstein software SUCKS :down I had their 2G laptop software.. pure garbage.

You pay for what you get.

I bought a cable & TMO cloned software for 1g at DSM.com group buys for $45. I think it was dataloggers.com. Palm or laptop. Works great.
Search dsm.com for datalogger.
