ive gotten many calls. I went to one of their interviews....wasnt even an interview...it was an informational session with 20 other people. and then if you decide to come in for a second interview (your choice) they want you to bring your spouse. I was like...wtf? they are trying to sell me on shit not hire me.
seeing that I have zero financial career experience, I wanted something with more structure....or at least a place that didn;t simply spend 4 days out of their week recruiting.

From what I've heard, they're much a like a multi-level marketing organization. Read: pyramid scheme.
Personally, I'd walk away from whatever they offer.

I looked at it as this....if they con you into a second "interview" and get you to bring yet someone else......ANOTHER PERSON.....hello....pyramid exactly. a legal one however.

I'm actually friends with the regional vp here in columbus. I've sat in a a few loans that he has done and he and I shoot pool quite often. If your interested I can introduce you to him. He doesnt do any of the group interviews. Just one on one's with people that are refered to him by trustworty people he knows. If you are a sincere person and it shows in your personallity, then this is an awesome direction to go.

Did you not hear about how much they take of your $$? This is the place that Sam was "hired" at and they were going to teach him all the skills to be a licensed real estate agent/broker, mortgage processor, life insurance agent...blah blah blah
Then proceeded to tell him he needed to give them $200.00 down payment, plus $30 for a background check, $60 for fingerprinting...and then you get that all back once you complete all the courses and pass your test.
We paid them the money, he went to a couple classes and they kept bugging him to have me come and also to bring several friends (or at least set up appointments to come to their house) to discuss options such as refinancing...etc. It's entirely up to you to go out and get your leads on people to finance. You're not sitting in an office answering calls to help people with their financial problems as they lead you to believe.
DONT FALL FOR THEIR SCHEME!!! IT'S A CROCK OF ?HIT!

if you go to the open house i guarantee you'll be dissapointed. If you are interested let me at least introduce you to my friend. you runs his office totally different then the others, thats why people don't hate him. ps i don't work for him, nor do i get referral credits. i actually declined the job based on my great position at Verizon Wireless.

+2 don't even waste your time. Can you say AMWAY, scam.
They try to play the whole citibank thing up.

aahh forget all this then
It's dumb and you have to pay for your own training. Unless you think you can come up with enough clients ON YOUR OWN then I wouldn't think about doing it.

Come on PEOPLE!!!!!!
If they ask for money from you then it is not a REAL job.
No REAL company would make you pay for a drug test or other stuff on condition of employment. Sure, the job market isn't what it once was back in the late 90's but get real people. I could have told you it was a ripoff.
Bank One requires a drug test but it is free and it is the last thing they ask of you before they hire you. (It is free regardless of whether you pass or fail the drug test).

FYI.... this is a bad company. They target people without any finance background and sign them up to sell "insurance" and other services offered by citigroup. There have been many people who have opted to take the insurance and go to cash in on it and it not even be there. Over 90% of people who work for this company make less than $1,000.00 a year. If you search for stuff online about it, you'll find complaints and even several cases where they have been taken to court.

yea..a little rude IMHO....she was giving quality input and she got a sarcastic reply. lame. most newbies ask all kinds of dumb questions when they join as opposed to actually helping out.
thanks for the input,gtsgirl...while I had a dumb experience with them, I was still thinking about giving them a second shot. definitely won't now.

First off, I'm not going to ask any "newbie" questions.... I pretty must got it covered as far as that goes, so you can all relax. . I was only adding my two cents to save someone from the possible brainwashing/ let-down that has left people bankrupt and without income or benifits.
I apologize for just jumping into the conversation without introducing myself.... just hope the info helps.

wow... guess you took it wrong. It wasn't meant to be rude, and I never said anything about you asking stupid questions or anything, I was just saying that its just nice to do that, so people know who you are. So ya. No rudeness was meant.
And Ryan.... I'm not worried.. :thumb
