Well I have a issue. Today coming home from work my evo pop like a backfire and then basically it seemed to flooded itself with fuel. I have a S-AFC II, larger injectors, and larger fuel pump. I had the car towed and we checked the plugs and all of them were black. When it runs it blows black smoke and smells like fuel. I have been running with the larger injectors and fuel pump for a few weeks with no issues and I have the S-AFC correting for the injectors.
We checked all the A-AFC wires and all are good, I reset the computer did nothing, still the same. It does not sound like anything internal, no metal noises at all.
Anyone have any ideas? My brother came up with another that I am going to try tomorrow and that is the front O2 sensor. The only other thing I can think of is the MAF maybe went?

IC pipe is a likely guess and thats what I would think of first. Another would be the MAF plug coming off.

yeah you definately popped a hose
check all the intercooler hoses
Maybe you have the same problem as steve when he blew the rubber coupling on the intercooler

That sounds like what my car did one day on I-270. A big pop and then a sudden loss of power. Smoke out the back. You could only press the gas pedal lightly to keep the car moving. If you pressed it any harder the smoke would start again out the back and it would run very rough.
My lower IC pipe blew a hose clamp.

Well my intercooler piping was laying on the bottom tray. Surprises me since Dan from Buschur is the one that put my intercooler piping on.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :thumb . I now know what its like when the piping is off

Send David Buschur an email telling him that he should supply T bolt clamps with his fancy intercooler kit. I bitched and complained about mine so maybe if a few others do, they will listen.

I sent a message to Dave earlier, I did not mention the t-bolt clamps. Dave mentioned in his reply that the t-bolt clamps take care of the problem but people then complain about the price of the kits due to the increase cost of the clamps.
Does anyone know a good place to get the clamps?

I think they should just package the T bolt clamps separately as an add on option with the kit. They are expensive and would drive up the price.
