I'm putting my carbon fiber hood on today and I have to drill a couple holes. They did not come pre drilled. Has anyone does this? :help Is so let me know how you did it adn if you ran into any problems. I just don't want to crack the hood. Would a sharp drill bit do or should I go get a drill bit for glass and tile? :stupid

You can drill carbon fiber, just make sure the bit is new, and your good to go, you shouldn't run into any problem's at all.

I used to drill them when I installed them on a few honda's back in the day, and that's how I did it.

just be carefull, take your time. :D

I used a glass and tile drill bit and it worked perfect.

Ok, I finaly got a couple pics of my car today with the carbon fiber hood :thumb Actually the drilling was not as bad a I thought. As I said I went out to lowes and baught Glass/Tile Drill bits and just drilled really slow. It did not chip, or crack and it really did not take long. I drilled the hood pins out to mount them where the radiator mounts are. But I was a little conserned about how close to the edge of the hood it was, so i put the hood pins vertical instead of horizontal. The top of the pins are not circular, they are more rectangular. But I like it.

Looks pretty good. I'd paint the pop-ups black, but that's just me ;)

Hey, me and some friends know a guy that does CF work, and he says he can pretty much make whatever. I will shoot him an email and try to find out about those in CF for you.

I think the car looks very good with the popups left red.

the altezzas have to go too. It would be a very clean car w/o them

Sweet! I've got a whole list of stuff that I want in CF. I'd like to do the mirrors, molding back to and including the stock wing. Then maybe the door handles, and wiper cowl. After that the fenders, doors, roof.. wtf ..ok maybe that's overkill!

Iwishiwascool - I like the look of my :booty ..At least its not the Chrome ones. That would look like sh*t ,with the that black area under the lights that has the TALON logo on it. Plus I just get tired of stock tail lights.

I'd like to get the foglight areas on mine in CF. Someone at the cookout in Blacklick had them, but I didn't get a chance to find out who it was/where they got them.

Looks very nice, I agree with Ken.. the car would look 100% better without the altezzas

And for the pantyhose.... I'm sure Marc will chime in here about his panty hose covered lights lol lol
